But in the late 1970s, palaeontologist Jack Horner discovered dinosaur egg,and discoveries of other nesting sites with dinosaur egg, has taught us that many dinosaurs engaged in pre-natal care of their eggs and may well have stayed with their young for long periods of time after they hatched. Both behaviours made dinosaurs seem a lot like today's birds.
